Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals process and heal from trauma and distressing life experiences.  Sometimes referred to as a "power therapy," EMDR Therapy engages the mind, the brain, and the whole nervous system in a manner that allows for deep shifts.  Through a structured approach, EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation—typically in the form of guided eye movements—to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories and emotions in a healthier way.

This technique helps reduce the emotional charge attached to negative memories, allowing individuals to integrate these experiences with greater ease and resilience. EMDR therapy is particularly beneficial for those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other trauma-related conditions, offering a safe and supportive environment for healing and recovery. Dr. Camden has been practicing EMDR therapy since 2000.  And, yes, it works great online!  To learn more about EMDR Therapy click here.
